SkyRule

Terms of use

Last updated: November 2026

SkyRule is published by Andrea Mariniello, trading as Skyworks ("we"). These terms apply to the SkyRule app for iPhone and iPad and this website, including the web demo. The Apple standard end user licence agreement also applies to the app.

A supplementary aid only

SkyRule is a planning and reference aid. It is not an approved electronic flight bag, navigation system or performance application, and it is not an official source of aeronautical, weather or briefing information.

Accuracy and currency of data

We check reference data against the sources shown in the app, but it may contain errors and can become out of date. Aeronautical information changes as often as every 28 days. Calculations use standard formulas and simplified models, and can differ from your aircraft's approved data.

Free trial and purchase

The app offers a free 30-day trial that you choose to start. When it ends, the calculators, the METAR/TAF decoder, VOLMET and other reference pages, and starting new timers lock until you buy the one-time unlock. There is no subscription and no automatic charge. Squawk codes, comms failure procedures, light signals and interception remain free.

Purchases are made through Apple, and Apple handles payments and refund requests. You can restore a purchase on another device using the same Apple Account. New features may be added or removed over time.

Your rights and our liability

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer, or limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, SkyRule is provided as is, and we are not liable for losses arising from its use in flight operations or for business losses.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Questions: [email protected].
